By burning incenses made from local plants this piece is designed to establish an atmosphere for knowledge exchange. The smoke is a way to visualise/slow time and recreate a ‘stories around the fire’ feeling. The piece aims to help overcome barriers experienced by displacement through inclusive engagement. The piece is exhibited with cards naming local plants. Participants are invited to sit around the incense and share uses of known plants with each other.
