Root Thoughts is an interactive piece that invites participants to sit within the sculpture, press their ear against the pillow and listen to an audio interviews. The interviews are of participants answering what they would do to combat the mundane and re-imagine monotonous tasks in a playful manner. Each time the piece is exhibited it plays a different interview, inspired by the conversations had under the tree in its last exhibit.

The piece aims to provide a safe and comfortable space for challenging conversations and encourages wander as an agent for change.
